Huge Belfast hillside park with waymarked walks for different abilities, from the gentle Castle Trail through the Belfast Castle gardens to longer woodland routes and the challenging Cave Hill Trail up towards McArt’s Fort. Families can enjoy the Cave Hill Adventurous Playground, picnic areas, woodland, wildlife, archaeological features and spectacular panoramic views across Belfast and Belfast Lough. There are also orienteering routes and ecotrails, while Belfast Castle and its gardens give younger children an easier area to explore. The park is free to visit.
