What You'll Find
Flowerfield Inclusive Play Park in Portstewart is a really special little playground, designed so children of all abilities can play and have fun together!
Located beside Flowerfield Arts Centre, this isn't your typical playground. It's been thoughtfully designed with inclusive play equipment and sensory features, making it a lovely spot for families with children of different ages and abilities.
One of the standout features is the wheelchair-accessible swing, which allows children who use wheelchairs to enjoy swinging without having to leave their chair. Such a fantastic addition to a playground!
There's also a lovely scented garden with sensory columns, giving the wee ones the chance to explore different smells and sensory experiences as they wander around.
Younger children have their own dedicated play area too, while a quieter space provides somewhere to take a little break away from the busier parts of the playground.
And there's plenty of green space to enjoy!
You'll find picnic tables and grassy areas nearby, so why not pack a picnic and spend a little longer here?
Another brilliant feature is the Changing Places toilet at Flowerfield Arts Centre, which is a really important facility for families who need additional accessible changing space.
