Fairhill Play Park

Full Description

Fairhill Play Park is Cookstown's main play park, and the layout is the thoughtful bit: toddlers and younger children get a separated area as you come in, while older children have a bigger, bolder space beyond it. That split makes it work for a family with a wide age gap.

What You'll Find

The younger children's area has a swing, seesaw, climbing frame, bouncy chair and sound-making equipment with animal noises and music.

The area for older children is more adventurous, with large climbing frames, slides, swings, balancing logs and a climbing dome.

There is ample car parking, including disabled parking spaces, and an accessible public toilet on site.

Wee Ones Will Love...

• ✓The sound-making equipment in the toddler area
• ✓The big climbing frames and slides
• ✓Balancing along the logs
• ✓A go on the climbing dome if they're feeling brave

Before You Visit

The play park is on Fairhill Road in Cookstown (BT80 8DE).

It's free to visit and open to the public, with car parking on site including disabled spaces.

There is an accessible public toilet on site, which uses a RADAR key.

Mid Ulster District Council refurbished and extended the play area in 2014, and the park is not on the council's current programme of play park works — still worth a quick check of its play park information before a special trip.
