Full Description
New Mossley's play area is one of the borough's estate play parks with a multi-use games area alongside it, so it suits a family with a spread of ages: the little ones on the play equipment, the older ones on the MUGA a few metres away, and one adult able to keep an eye on both.
A word of clarification that will save you a wasted trip: New Mossley Play Area is not Mossley Park. They are two different sites a mile or so apart. Mossley Park, off Carnmoney Road North, has its own play park for children aged 3 to 12 and its park and courts are open 24 hours. New Mossley is the estate play area within the New Mossley neighbourhood itself. If you are local either works; if you are driving in, know which one you are heading for.
For families in the estate, this is a walk-to-it play area off Ballyearl Drive — the kind of place that soaks up an hour after school without anyone needing to get in the car. Dogs are excluded from the play area and must be kept on a lead on the green space around it.
What You'll Find

Before You Visit
Free to visit with no booking. It sits in the New Mossley estate off Ballyearl Drive (BT36 5US). Please note this is not Mossley Park on Carnmoney Road North, which is a separate site. Dogs are excluded from the play area and must be kept on a lead on the surrounding green space. Parking, toilets and a café are not published here, so bring your own snacks and park considerately. No equipment list or age range is published for this play area, so both are left out.
