Full Description

Springwell Drive Play Park is Beragh's village play park, and it's one of the Fermanagh & Omagh District Council sites to have been improved as part of the council's play park programme. For a small village about eight miles from Omagh, that's a genuinely useful thing to have on the doorstep.

It's a simple, free outdoor play space in a residential part of the village — the kind of place you can walk or pull up to, let the children loose on the equipment for half an hour and head home again without it turning into an expedition. The council's wider programme has been replacing older play equipment with modern multi-play units and more inclusive pieces, including wheelchair-accessible and sensory equipment, so the play offer here should feel fresher than the older-style village play areas many of us grew up with. We haven't yet confirmed the individual equipment at this site, so if your wee one is after something specific, it's worth checking first.

Because it's a village park, it works best as part of a wider trip rather than a destination in itself. Beragh sits on the road between Omagh and the Clogher Valley, which makes it a handy leg-stretch if you're travelling that way, and Omagh itself — with its bigger play parks, soft play and town centre — is only a short drive on if everyone still has energy to spare.

There's no café or visitor centre here, so think of it as fresh air and play, with the rest of the day built around it.

A lovely wee free option for Beragh families, and a useful one to know about if you're passing through west Tyrone.

What You'll Find

A village play area in a quiet residential street, on the council's published 2026 list of play parks for the district. It has been upgraded under Fermanagh and Omagh District Council's Play Strategy, the programme behind 34 play park upgrades between 2021 and 2025 and more than £3 million of investment, with every upgraded park now meeting the council's Silver or Gold standard. Best suited to half an hour of outdoor play rather than a full day out, with the village centre a short walk away.
