Animals · Playpark · Forest · Walking
Working animal rescue and education centre with an impressive collection of owls, eagles, hawks, falcons and vultures, alongside reptiles, insects, rabbits and other animals. Families can explore the outdoor enclosures and wildlife areas, visit the children’s play area, follow the forest walks and spot deer and wildfowl from the viewing areas. There’s also a café, picnic and BBQ areas, gift shop and opportunities to book special Owl, Reptile and Falconry experiences, with themed and open/fun days held at various times. It’s a lovely combination of animals, nature and outdoor exploring.
Before You Visit
No booking is currently needed for ordinary public visits, but group visits and special owl experiences need to be arranged in advance. Remember this is an animal sanctuary, so children need to stay calm around the enclosures and dogs or other pets aren't allowed.
Top Tips
- ⭐Take your time around the enclosures and encourage the kids to look quietly — you'll notice far more when the birds are settled. Under 3s are currently free, which is handy if you're visiting with a toddler.
