Funtasia

What You'll Find

Funtasia in Drogheda is a lifesaver on days when the weather just won't cooperate. Everything is tucked under one roof, which makes a full family day out easy to plan: no worrying about rain, no dashing between buildings, and no need to leave once you arrive.

The highlight is Pirate's Cove Waterpark, a large indoor water play area with multiple slides, water features and splash zones designed for children. It's all about the slides and water play rather than swimming lengths, so expect to spend a good few hours in there. Beyond the waterpark there are arcade games and other indoor activities under the same roof, plus a food court and café area so you can take breaks between sessions.

Free on-site parking makes arrival easy, and there's a free viewing area at the waterpark so one adult can watch the children without paying to go in, which is handy if one parent isn't getting in the water.

Before You Visit

There is no traditional swimming pool — it's all about slides and water play, so don't expect to swim lengths. Buggies can't go into the waterpark area, so a carrier is useful for younger children. Re-entry isn't allowed once you leave the waterpark, so bring everything you need in with you. Book a waterpark timeslot online before travelling.
