Adventure Lights: The Lost Kingdom

Step inside the Lost Kingdom at Skypark, where Irish mythology meets winter light. The trail winds through glowing forests and illuminated tunnels and arches, with a new scene to stop and stare at around every corner — including a brand new Enchanted Swan Garden inspired by the legend of the Children of Lir. Keep an eye out for the magical characters along the way, and take on the quest for Cú Chulainn's spear, where real life elves hand out stamps to anyone who solves the mystery. There is plenty to keep everyone busy beyond the lights themselves. The wooden 3D maze is one of the largest in Ireland, with over 1,000 metres of winding walkways lit by thousands of lights, and the new interactive Stomp Lights bring the grounds to life as you hop along. Skynet is open after dark for bouncing under the stars, and glow in the dark face painting is free before you set off, so the small ones can get into character. Your ticket covers the light trail and the illuminated activities, with single, family and group (15+) options — each family ticket must include at least one adult and one child. Food and drink are charged separately: there is street food (burgers and crepes) on site, plus s'mores kits to roast at the fire pits, and overnight Adventure Nights stays are a separate booking. Prices vary by date and the early bird offers are time limited rather than the standard price, so check the booking calendar for your night. Wrap up warm, wear sturdy footwear for the gravel paths, arrive 15 minutes before your session, and note the trail is closed on 31 October, 24–26 December and 1 January.
