Sleeping Beauty

About this event

Sleeping Beauty arrives at the Waterfront Studio for Christmas 2026, a bold, brilliant take on the classic fairytale from GBL Productions in partnership with the venue. Expect a host of colourful characters, slapstick comedy, a soundtrack of favourite hits and plenty of audience participation, all wrapped around magical spinning wheels and a nail biting cliff hanger or two. Like every good pantomime it ends happily ever after, and the show carries the Waterfront's distinctive Belfast flavour throughout. The studio is an intimate space, so this is a panto that puts the audience right at the heart of the action — the sort where children are encouraged to laugh, sing, shout, boo and cheer. It is billed as perfect for big kids and small kids alike: songs and set designed for children, with jokes the grown ups will enjoy too. If your family loves a traditional Christmas show, this is one to book early. Tickets are £17 to £22, with a £3.25 booking fee on top, and the price covers the performance itself — drinks and snacks at the venue are charged separately. Children over 12 months need a ticket, and babes in arms tickets for children under 12 months are arranged through Waterfront Customer Services. Sensory packs and a sensory cooldown area are advertised, though relaxed performance dates are worded inconsistently on the venue page, so ask when you book.
