Anchor Car Park Play Area is a lovely little seaside playground in Portavogie, perfect for a stop with the kids if you're exploring the Ards Peninsula.

The playground is fully fenced, with colourful climbing equipment, swings, a seesaw and a smaller play unit for toddlers. There's also a wheelchair-accessible roundabout, making it a more inclusive place for children to play together.

The play area has soft rubber surfacing underneath the equipment and benches for parents to sit while the wee ones play. There's also an outdoor gym nearby if the grown-ups fancy trying out some of the equipment.

One of the nicest things about this playground is its location right beside the coast. You can enjoy a little walk along the seafront or head towards Portavogie Harbour to watch the fishing boats.

With free parking right beside the playground, it's a handy stop if you're spending the day exploring the nearby coastal villages.
