Beachlands Play Park in Carnlough is a brilliant little seaside playground, and one of those places where you can enjoy a play park, beach and harbour all in one visit!

The playground has been refurbished with a lovely seaside theme, and there's plenty for the kids to enjoy, including climbing equipment, swings, slides and inclusive play features.

And the best part? Carnlough Beach is right beside it!

The beach is a mix of sand and shingle, so bring the buckets and spades for a little digging, paddling or searching for shells. My kids always love somewhere they can go from the playground straight onto the beach!

Carnlough itself is such a pretty little village, and I'd definitely recommend taking a wander around the harbour while you're there. You might even recognise it from Game of Thrones, as it was used as a filming location!

There are cafés and places to grab something to eat around the village, so you can pick up a coffee or an ice cream and enjoy the lovely coastal views.

It's a great little stop if you're travelling along the Causeway Coastal Route, but with the playground, beach and harbour all so close together, you could easily spend a few hours here.

The beach is a mix of sand and shingle, so beach shoes can be handy for little feet.

Check the tide times before visiting if you're planning to spend time on the beach.

Keep younger children close around the harbour and shoreline, as there's open water.

The playground and beach are close together, so it's easy to enjoy both without moving the car.
