Full Description

Loughview Drive Play Park is one of the Fermanagh & Omagh District Council play parks to have been upgraded in recent years, and it's a handy free one if you're in the Cornagrade part of Enniskillen.

It's a neighbourhood play area in a residential street on the northern side of town, which is exactly what makes it useful: somewhere to take the children for half an hour of outdoor play that doesn't need a whole afternoon's planning. The council's programme has been replacing older equipment with modern multi-play units and more inclusive pieces, including wheelchair-accessible and sensory equipment. We haven't yet confirmed the exact equipment at this site, so if there's something particular your wee one loves, it's worth a quick check before you set off.

What lifts this one above a plain local playground is how close it is to everything else Enniskillen offers. The town centre — with its castle, shops, cafés and the riverfront — is within easy walking distance, the Fermanagh Lakeland Forum is a short hop away for a swim, and Round 'O' Jetty, another free play area down by the water, is only a few minutes further on. That means you can string together play, a wander and a treat in one afternoon without moving the car about much.

Enniskillen is a brilliant base for bigger family days too, with the lakes, Castle Coole and the Marble Arch Caves all within easy reach, so this is a lovely first stop before heading off to explore the county.

A free, friendly local play park in a handy corner of town.

What You'll Find

An upgraded neighbourhood play area in a residential street on the northern side of Enniskillen, listed by the council as Loughview Drive, Cornagrade. It has been upgraded under Fermanagh and Omagh District Council's Play Strategy, the programme behind 34 play park upgrades between 2021 and 2025 and more than £3 million of investment, with every upgraded park now meeting the council's Silver or Gold standard. The town centre is within walking distance, so it fits easily into a bigger day in Enniskillen.

Wee Ones Will Love...

  • ✓Trying out the upgraded play equipment
  • ✓A walk into town, the castle and the riverfront afterwards
  • ✓A second play stop at Round 'O' Jetty by the water
  • ✓An easy add-on to a day in Enniskillen

Before You Visit

Check directly for current equipment and facilities before travelling. The Lakeland Forum has closed while it is rebuilt into a new leisure centre, so plan a swim elsewhere if that was part of the day.
