Full Description
Scarva Park is a lovely little place to spend a few hours, with a playpark, green space and pretty waterside scenery. The park is known for its attractive gardens and canal-side setting, which makes it a nice mix of play and a gentle family walk.
Let the children enjoy the playground first, then take a wander to see the water, bridges and boats along the Newry Canal. There's plenty to interest little explorers without needing a strenuous walk, and the peaceful surroundings make it a lovely picnic stop. It's an easy place to visit when you want a relaxed outing rather than a huge attraction.
The £250,000 district play park was designed around age groups, with separate areas for toddlers and younger children and equipment for older ones. Water play features, junior equipment for toddlers and pre-schoolers and senior equipment for older children are all part of it.
What You'll Find
Families can enjoy the park paths and open areas, with plenty of opportunity for a relaxed walk and outdoor play. The wider Scarva area makes it easy to extend the visit with another little wander.
