Playpark
Full Description
Tandragee Play Park is the free, outdoor half of Tandragee Recreation Centre on the Madden Road: a play area right beside the centre, with the pitches and the sports hall next door. For a family that is a useful combination — children can play for nothing while the sporty side of the family books a pitch, a class or a party. It works for a quick after-school run-around, or as a stop while you are passing through the town.
What You'll Find
A council play park immediately beside Tandragee Recreation Centre, in the centre's grounds on the Madden Road.
It is outdoors and free to use, and the pitches, hall and gym that make up the rest of the site are booked through the centre.
Those grounds take in a full-size floodlit 3G pitch and two grass pitches.
Inside the centre there is a gym, a three-court sports hall, a fitness class programme, meeting rooms and Button Moon Preschool.
Wee Ones Will Love...
- ✓A play park to themselves, free of charge
- ✓Watching the matches on the 3G and grass pitches next door
- ✓Room to run about in the centre's grounds
- ✓An easy add-on to a party or a class booked at the centre
Before You Visit
The play park is beside Tandragee Recreation Centre at 24 Madden Road, Tandragee (BT62 2DG).
The play park is free to use, but everything else here is paid: the gym, the sports hall, the pitches, the fitness classes and the birthday parties are all booked and charged through the centre.
We could not confirm whether the centre's toilets are available to play park users, so plan as if there are none.
Parking at the centre is complimentary.
There is no café on site, and the centre is closed on Sundays — the play park itself is outdoors, so it is a fair-weather stop.
Top Tips
- ⭐Parking is complimentary, so use the centre's car park rather than the street
- ⭐The play park is free while the centre's gym, hall and pitches are paid and booked separately
- ⭐Birthday parties here include a bouncy castle and 45 minutes in the party room
- ⭐There is no café on site and the centre is closed on Sundays, so bring what you need
