Full Description
Tempo Play Park is the village play area, and it's one of the Fermanagh & Omagh District Council play parks included in the council's upgrade programme — a quiet, free spot for a bit of outdoor play in the middle of Fermanagh.
It sits just south of the village centre in a residential area, which makes it exactly the kind of place you nip to for half an hour rather than a whole afternoon. The council's programme has been replacing older play equipment with modern multi-play units and more inclusive pieces, including wheelchair-accessible and sensory equipment, so the play offer here is part of a wider push to bring Fermanagh's play parks up to a modern standard. We haven't yet confirmed the individual equipment at this site, so it's worth checking if your wee one has a particular favourite.
Tempo is a small village, so think of the play park as a happy addition to a journey rather than the outing itself. It works nicely as a break if you're travelling across Fermanagh, or as a first stop on a day that also takes in Enniskillen — where there are several other free play parks, the castle and the lakeside walks — or the forest parks further west.
There's no café or visitor centre here, so bring what you need and plan the treats for later in the day.
A handy, honest wee play stop that local families will know well.
