Full Description
Ward Park is one of Bangor's best-loved family parks, and it's easy to see why! With more than 30 acres of green space, it's a lovely place for a quick play or a full afternoon outdoors.
The upgraded playground has climbing frames, slides, swings, balancing equipment and inclusive play features for different ages. Once the children have finished playing, take a walk around the duck ponds, look out for the birds in the aviary and enjoy the colourful flower displays. There's plenty of grass for a picnic or football, as well as wide paths for a gentle family wander.
You'll also spot the bandstand, tennis courts, bowling greens and cricket pitch as you explore. The bandstand sometimes hosts music in the warmer months, which is a lovely bonus if something is on. Bangor city centre is only a short walk away, so it's easy to grab lunch or a treat, or continue on to the marina or Pickie Fun Park.
It's one of those free parks with something for everyone: play, nature, open space and plenty of opportunities to make a day of it.
