Cushendall Beach is a lovely little spot along the beautiful Antrim Coast, with views across the bay and the stunning Glens of Antrim in the background.

Located just outside Cushendall village, it's a great place to stop for a wander along the shore, especially if you're exploring the Causeway Coastal Route with the kids.

The beach has a mixture of sand and stones, giving the wee ones plenty to explore. Bring a bucket and see what shells, pebbles and little treasures they can find along the shoreline!

There's plenty of space for a walk, and the views across the water are beautiful. It's one of those places where the kids can happily spend ages throwing stones into the sea, watching the waves and seeing what they can discover.

On a nice day, bring a picnic blanket and enjoy a little stop beside the water. Just remember the beach can be quite exposed, so an extra layer is always handy!

And don't forget about Cushendall village itself.

It's only a short distance away, with cafés, shops and places to grab an ice cream or something to eat. The village is lovely for a little wander too, with colourful buildings and the beautiful Glens surrounding it.

Public toilets at the beach car park are seasonal, generally operating from April to September, so bear this in mind if you're visiting outside the summer months.
