Full Description
Tower Museum is a lovely way to turn a family day out into a little journey through history and discovery. Set in Derry’s historic city walls, there's much more to explore than you might expect from a museum visit.
Inside and around the attraction you'll discover the Story of Derry exhibitions and fascinating displays about the Armada shipwreck. Take your time, let the children choose what catches their attention and enjoy the chance to learn something new together. With older children, it's a great opportunity to ask questions and chat about the stories behind the exhibits.
You don't have to see absolutely everything in one visit. Choosing a few areas to explore properly often works much better with little legs and short attention spans. It's a great addition to a day exploring the surrounding area, and a welcome option when the weather isn't on your side.
What You'll Find
The museum’s exhibitions take visitors through local history and the story of the Armada shipwrecks, with objects and displays to discover as you move through the building.
